Following on from our recent AGM I wanted to say how honoured I am to have been elected chairman of BRFC. The club is a unique, special place where we come together as a rugby family with the pure intention of either playing the sport we love or supporting those that simply want to "play rugby with their friends ". Two intertwined halves of an amazing social experience. But I don't need to tell you that ........

To work then. The new season approaches. Touch rugby has already started, so spread the word. This coming Saturday we are holding our first Natwest Rugby Workforce Task Day between 10 and 1pm at East Street. Volunteers are essential for our clubs survival and any help you are able to give would be amazing. It's your club after all and I hope to see lots of you there.

So here we go. I'm looking forward to a great season and to seeing you all pitch side.

The new season is fast approaching and in preparation for this Pre-Season Training will commence on Tuesday 10 July - for full details of location and timings please contact Ian Greenhalgh (07557 994509)

Blandford Second XV will be attending the Level 10 Round Robin Festival on Saturday 8 September at Swanage & Wareham, further details are available from Matt Cowlard who is organising the team

Work is in hand arranging 3 Pre-Season Friendly Games prior to our first match which is on 8 September - full details of these matches will be published here once finalised

Blandford RFC is always ready to welcome new players both Junior and Senior, if you want to join our local friendly club then please get in contact

We are looking for a couple of additional First Aiders to provide cover for both of our senior teams for the 2018/19 season.

Ideally you should already hold one of the following qualifications, First Aid at Work, Emergency First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid in Rugby Union (EFARU). However, if you would be interested in undertaking this role and do not currently hold one of these qualifications the club would be prepared to to fund your attendance on a EFARU course.
